Comparison of chain locks

You have the option of ordering by weight, length, or security rating. I’m having trouble visualizing the weights, so I’ve added a “number of cans of coke” weight to help! Here’s a rundown of some of the most popular chain locks on the market right now. You can also use the search field to narrow down which locks are displayed. Enter “Silver” into the search field, for example, if you only want to see Sold Secure Silver rated locks.

A table that compares U-locks can be found here. Check out my bike lock buying guide if you’re still not sure what type of lock you need. If you need more specific advice, check out our buying guide for chain locks. ,,,,,,,,,,

However, the OnGuard lock weights are not listed on their website, so I had to look them up elsewhere, and they may not be 100% accurate. Please let me know if you find any errors, and I will correct them! The majority of the information comes from the brands’ own websites.

Any data that requires more explanation is marked with an asterisk (*), and more information is provided at the bottom of the table.

I hope you will find the table to be helpful. I’ll be adding more locks as I come across them, and if you have any locks you’d like to see added, please let me know in the comments section below.

Please share if you find it useful…
